Today is a big day for apple. People have been waiting for them to announce their new products, precisely the macbook family.

A lot of rumors have circulated in the internet about the new design from Apple and about the technology they use -- some source say it is BRICK... Yes, it is brick..

Long story short, here is the new macbook 13" from Apple.

See the sleek design? It uses LED-backlit display so it looks really.....amazing.
And also, it also has the new Multi-Touch trackpads, and larger, made of glass..o___O
The most significant change is in the graphic card, the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT.

There is also this new 15" macbook pro.

Its specs have improved far superior than its predecessor's. It also wields the same graphic card, that is NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphic processor with dual-link DVI support.

Last but not the least, it is the LED-backlist 24" display that can be used with macbook to provide a better images, or let's put it a better view...

See that?
You already have the best images using the macbook, and now, by connecting the 24" display, it is PERFECT.
Can you imagine that?
This is coollll...

However, they do not change the specs, or at least the design, of the macbook pro 17". That's what I have been waiting for, though..

Okay, let's wrap it up here.
That's all I can say for this time because I have not seen the real items and have not tried it yet. I'll tell you more about these new Apple "toys" when I pay a visit to the Apple Center next week..

See ya..

Well, today is a great day.
Life goes on.
So far so good.
I have no problem with the college.

After I finished my last class for today, I rushed to subway station to wait for the Manhattan-bound F train to get me to Queens Library to return the stuffs I borrowed several weeks ago. Well, nothing happened in the subway, though. Everything seemed to flow like an air-stream. When I arrived at the station and walked towards the exit, I saw two men wearing Army shirts walking around.

One of them was holding a stack of cards which I could not see clearly and offering the card to the passer-by. When I walked through them, the Army man followed me and shook my hand.

"What's up?"

"Doing good."

"Are you interested in joining the Army?"

Whattt??? ARMY?? Are you kidding me?? Well,...

"Army?"

"Yeah, Army. Are you still in high-school? or college?"

"College"

As I still walked towards the exit, really slow..
The soldier seemed to know that I am not the citizen..so he asked..

"Are you a U.S. citizen or permanent resident? or you just go to school here?"

"I just come to go to school, then."

"OK, I see. Nice to meet you."

He walked away and left me in astonishment. If I said that I was a citizen, he must have offered me the chance to join the Army. I'm laughing with my own thoughts. This is INSANE.
I saw that some were interested and took the card that he offered. And unfortunately, he didn't give me anything. LoL.

Never imagine how I will look in a Army apparel.

Hahahahahahahahahah..

Can you guess what picture is that?

Anyone?

Well then....

Here we goooo......

Recently, Google, one of the largest internet search engine, has created a new web browser named Chrome. They want to break the domination of Microsoft in the field of web browser which has been going for a long time. This news will certainly sting the Microsoft people, for they know that this new web browser will become a threat to the Internet Explorer. And, before Google tries to do this, Apple has enabled their web browser, Safari, to enter Windows platform. Not to forget that there is still Mozilla Firefox, which some people say "more reliable than the stinks IE".

In my opinion, you MUST try this new google web browser. It looks really sophisticated. Although it is still in beta version, you will not feel disappointed by it. So, hope for several months ahead for the newer version, which will become more stable.

Well, I cannot provide you with more information since this is the first time I used this web browser.

AMAZING !!!

That's the first word came out of my head when I saw the contestants of the competition. They are still K-12 students, but don't question their spelling skills. It's magnificent. It seems that their entire lives are dedicated to learn tons of words everyday. Those kids, to whom I take my hat off , answer the question with no hesitation. They know the "magic word".....

The words asked are mostly derived from other languages, e.g. French, Latin, Greek, German, etc. Here are some words that the juries asked them : (at first time hearing it, I only can figure out some words LoLz)
1. introuvable
2. ecrase
3. huapango
4. parfleche
5. nietzschean (this one is hard)
6. bogatyr
7. opificer
8. posaune
9. taleggio
10.thymele
11.aptyalism
12.sinicize
13.esclandre

From numbers of contestants that competes in this event, the winner is Sameer Mishra, who is 13 years old and at 8 grade.

Congrats, boy.

The season finale is a kind of really good stuff here. With some romantic scenes, where Lana finally decides that Clark should not come after her because the world needs him more than her, it becomes more and more great for this TV show.

Let's cut it short.

The season finale begins with the last member of veritas traveling across the bermuda to Argentina. For you who don't know what veritas is, let me explain it brief. It is a secret society that was formed in order to protect the traveller who arrived at the Earth some time ago. He is given another passport with another name. Suddenly, a stewardess approaches him and asks him where the device to control the traveller is.

Well, well, well, what is surprising here is that the stewardess is Kara Zor-El. She is not supposed to be there because she flew to Krypton when she faced Brainiac, another antagonist, and she has not even come back. She asks Edward, the member of veritas, furily and punches the body of the plane until the engine is blown up. Then, she flies away, leaving the plane destroys itself.

Jimmy Olsen, the reporter who falls in love with Chloe Sullivan, a childhood friend of Clark Kent, our main character, still works for Lex Luthor. He asks Jimmy to get Lois Lane, the cousin of Chloe, off his back because she has asked so many people about Lex. In Clark's home, he gets a visit from Lois Lane, bringing the job application to work behind Luthor. He refuses it and tells Lois to be careful while working behind Luthor. She becomes confused because she thinks that both Clark and Lex are friends. Then, Chloe comes.

Chloe who gets the info about the accident of the plane tells Clark about it. She plays the audio recorded by the black-box of the plane, and Clark hears it. He knows that it is Kara and he starts to look for her, who are looking for Lex Luthor. Meanwhile, Kara arrives at Lex mansion and begins searching for the device to control the traveller. She finds it, but she cannot touch it because it was designed to protect human beings, so those who are not human, since she is Kryptonian, cannot get close to it.

Clark pursues Kara and he brings her back to Kent Farm. Both of them argue about the plane accident, in which Clark says that she should not have killed innocent people. She resists him and is persistent to find who can use the device. She flies away and returns to Lex's place. Jimmy successfully convinces Lois about what Lex's company does in the arctic and she thanks and apologize to him.

Back to Lex's pavilion, Kara meets Lex and tells him that she and the traveller come from the same planet. She also tells him that he has already known who the traveller is.

Clark knows that something is wrong with Kara, so he tells Chloe to keep the Krypton. She calls Kara and she comes. Chloe shows her the stone, but it has no effect on her. When Chloe attempts to flee, Kara pushes the door forcefully and "reveals her true form". It is Brainiac who disguises as Kara. He, finally, does the same thing he does to Lana, who lay unconscious at her catatonic state.

Clark knows that Brainiac was behind all of these when he visits Chloe at hospital, and she shows the same symptoms as Lana does. He goes after Brainiac, who seems exhausted after what he does to Chloe, to an energy plant. He wants to absorb the electricity to regain his stamina, and suddenly Clark comes. Both of them fight, until Clark electrocutes Brainiac, and turns him to ashes. (Yeah, he deserves it)

Since Brainiac has been destroyed, his victims are recovering. Chloe has gained consciousness and so has Lana. However, when Clark rushes to her room, she is not there and she left a video for Clark. She told Clark no to go after her, and she realizes that they are destined not to be together. Then, Lois comes and hugs Clark...

Jimmy reveals his true feelings against Chloe, and he proposes her. By the time he wants to attach the ring to her finger, the Department of Domestic Security comes and arrests her. Jimmy tries to fight back, but he is knocked down by one of the men.. Chloe asks him to look for Clark, and he does. He tells Clark everything, and he goes to find Lex.

Finally, Lex decides to leave for the arctic to find out the traveller. He finds the fortress of solitude, the fortress created by the traveller. Then, Clark comes. He wants to get close to Lex, but he cannot because of the device. Lex knows that Kal-El is the traveller. Lex makes his final decision by putting the device on the crystal at the fortress and weakens Clark. He says that he loves Clark as if he is his own brother. The fortress starts collapsing into the sea with both of them trap inside...

That's the end of the finale..
Well, it still leaves some secrets about the fate of the characters and what will happen to both Lex and Kal-El..

All of those questions will be answered in Smallville Season 8, aired Fall 2008.

Most of us have known that human is the most superior GOD creature in the world. Unlike plants and animals, we are granted with "something" that they don't possess.."something" that widens the gap between us and them..
Those are heart (not the same as the one that pumps blood in our body) and mind, which we use to store our lovely memories.

Recently, I realize that there is something funny, if not sweet, about human beings. As we grows up, we are often fooled by our own emotion.
If we flashback to our childhood, we happened to see that we want to grow up quickly so that we can do lots of things, just as the adults do, because we are envy of them. We develop the kind of "they-can-do-everything-why-I-cannot" feeling..
As time goes by, we have all grown up to our adolescent, and now we are ready to enter the society, to enter our adulthood which we are really enthusiastic about..

However, things have changed, and we can survive in the cruel world of adults (it's real; no exaggeration..LoL), and we wish that we could turn back time and returned to our childhood. In those period of time, we had lots of fun with our friends both inside and outside of school, included spending time together doing things even though they were silly. We started to learn everything --- which was the most interesting part --- and to mingle with everybody. We even started to know what love was..Ehmm, particularly for some who have ever fallen in love.. We wish that those time will never disappear, although we know that time will never run backwards..

So,  we try to keep our memories tightly and hope that those remembrances, especially those shared with friends in which we have the happiest time of their lives, will not vanish as time goes by.. As long as we separate from each other, we will have our own activities (and live our own lives) and will seldom meet each other again. That's why, only will those memories link us together again, and make us remember that we are still 仲間 now and forever..

On our childhood, we want to be adult quickly.
That's good.
On our adulthood, we wish that we can bend time and return to be a child.
That's really..
Why, Oh, why do we have to face such a dilemma?
Only do the Almighty know the answer...

Today is a nice day..
Everything goes so fine..
Everyone does their own routine, unexceptionally me (go to college as usual)..
LoL

Today's class is Accounting 101..
Lately, I become quite excited towards this course, either because it is easy (no meaning of showing off) or because it has almost reached the end of the course...
All students are present..it looks excellent today..

Suddenly, in the middle of studying, outside alarm sounded. It couldn't be a bell since my college never ever use a bell before..and one of my friend said.."It's a fire alarm"

OMIGOD...

WATHEFAK..

ARE U KIDDIN' ??

THIS IS 10TH FLOOR..

Well, well, well.. "The alarm must be broken", said my teacher. And the studies continued..
Then, it rang again..
Not this time, professor..You're wrong..

It's for real..
All students are told to leave all rooms as soon as possible, as the police are searching for the source of fire (if there is one)..
LoL..

As we went down the stairs, I saw flocks of students gathering in front of the college..
And what was strange was that we went down the stairs as if nothing happened..
People could have died, but noone became panic..
Hmmm..

As soon as we got out of the building, we watched the college building if there was a sign of fire..
In about 5 minute, one of the police officers told that "It's OK now, all of you can go back to the building"..

OH, S***

YOU'RE KIDDIN'

And, actually it was a DRILL..
This is f*ck*** crazy...

2 Choices

What would you do?....you make the choice. Don't look for a punch line, there isn't one. Read it anyway. My question is: Would you have made the same choice?

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves children with learning disabilities, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its
dedicated staff, he offered a question:
'When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does, is done with perfection.
Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do.
He cannot understand things as other children do.
Where is the natural order of things in my son?'

The audience was stilled by the query.

The father continued. 'I believe that when a child like Shay, who was mentally and physically disabled comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.'

Then he told the following story:

Shay and I had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball.
Shay asked, 'Do you think they'll let me play?'
I knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but as a father I also understood that if my son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.

I approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play.
The boy looked around for guidance and said, 'We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning.
I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning.'

Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt.
I watched with a small tear in my eye and warmth in my heart.
The boys saw my joy at my son being accepted.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three.
In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as I waved to him from the stands.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again.
Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.

At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game?
Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.

However, as Shay stepped up to the
plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact.
The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed.
The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay.
As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.

The game would now be over.
The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman.
Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.

Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates.
Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, 'Shay, run to first!
Run to first!'
Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base.
He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.

Everyone yelled, 'Run to second, run to second!'
Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base.
By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball ... the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team.
He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head.
Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.

All were screaming, 'Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay'

Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, 'Run to third!
Shay, run to third!'

As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, 'Shay, run home! Run home!'
Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team

'That day', said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, 'the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world'.

Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making me so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!

AND NOW A LITTLE FOOT NOTE TO THIS STORY:
We all send thousands of jokes through the e-mail without a second thought, but when it comes to sending messages about life choices, people hesitate.
The crude, vulgar, and often obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion about decency is too often suppressed in our schools and workplaces.

If you're thinking about forwarding this message, chances are that you're probably sorting out the people in your address book who aren't the 'appropriate' ones to receive this type of message Well, the person who sent you this believes that we all can make a difference.
We all have thousands of opportunities every single day to help realize the 'natural order of things.'
So many seemingly trivial interactions between two people present us with a choice:
Do we pass along a little spark of love and humanity or do we pass up those opportunities and leave the world a little bit colder in the process?

A wise man once said every society is judged by how it treats it's least fortunate amongst them.

You now have two choices:
1. Delete
2. Forward

Amazing,,.
Unbelievable,..
Magnificent,..

Those were the words coming out from my mouth simultaneously when I heard about my math professor about science of this world. Actually, we were learning a chapter about the Mean Value Theorem (fairly-known as MVT...not MVP :P) and Rolle's Theorem, and as usual, he gave us an example so that we can use it properly.

But, after giving the example, some students who didn't understand started to ask about it, the question mainly covered the-HOW.. And, he explained again..bla, bla and bla..and they understood finally. And, he started to give another example again to strengthen our understanding...hahahahahhahaha..

When he was about to explain about the second example, he told a story-like theory. Here is what he said (maybe inaccurate, but It's what he said in common)...

"Do you know that there is nothing in this world such as a straight line?"

"All things in this world are in round basic or form. You just need to adjust yourself to that so you can see it. Straight line like this comes from the round like our Earth's shape."

What? Are you kidding me? Well well well, it seems unreasonable, but that is the most fascinating part. Nothing is straight but round.

He also told us about the story-like theory, again, about two parallel lines (when learning about how to prove the MVT) as he drew the graph and explained the lesson, and one of the students said ,"Those parallel lines will never meet, right?".

"Oh, yes. I have something else to tell you, and this is a little bit interesting."

"You must know that this two parallel line, that you know that will never meet, will actually meet somewhere in a point called an ideal point. And, this point, together with the other ideal points, will form a line called an ideal line. This line is bound to infinity."

Some of us (students, still amateur in such things, not professional) said ," That means the lines does not exist. Because there is no infinity, it just a concept"

"Actually. But our Earth is also bound to infinity which justifies all these theories. And it has also been proved by experts."

Several students, then, said ,"Wow, it's amazing...and also confusing.."
Hahahahahahahaha...I also feel that way frankly speaking..

Well, it's the truth that our round Earth is bound to infinity in which we cannot reach, and Nothing is straight but round.

That's a great story from the professor about science, and it seemed the students are interested in it...

Keep it up, prof.
Waiting for your next story..
Hahahahahahahah...

Stay foolish, stay hungry.
